Joey Heatherton
Is there anyone else that remembers this blond and very talented lady? I remember her dancing on many of the variety shows that were on in the late 1960s and early 1970s, Dean Martin, Ed Sullivan, and Andy Williams, just to name a few. I learned she was with the Bob Hope USO Tour from 65 - 77. That's a big commitment.I don't remember this commercial but it does show her style. Evidently by the 1970s, her career was slowing down.
I remember her dancing more than her singing, but after looking at a few things on Youtube, I wonder why.
That girl can sing! So what happened? Where did she go and how much did we miss because of it? I read on Wikipedia that in 1992 she appeared nude in Playboy. I venture to say she must have needed the money. It's a mystery at which talent has a long life and which doesn't. To me, her talent deserved more.
Of course there are photos of an aged Joey. You would still know her. She was born in 1944. You can do the math. I chose to let her stay young here and to let her show what we've missed.

I always enjoyed Joey's dancing, and I remember this commercial. She is a good singer!
Hi Sweetie...
Happy to see you are having a great weekend. Love this post. I remember seeing Joey, I just didn't remember the name. She was so beautiful.
I looked up some pictures of her today, and even today she is gorgeous. Thanks for the memories sweetie.
Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday. Have a great week. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Andy Williams! My mother's favorite show. She didn't watch much television really. She was always puttering around putting things away or cooking it seemed. BUT, she (and therefore we) never missed an Andy Williams show. I sort of miss the old variety shows: Sonny & Cher, Andy Williams, Carol Burnett,... good fun.
Yes, I remember her well. I used to see her on the Dean Martin show a lot.
I remember Joey, but I haven't thought of her in years. I always loved her haircut :)
I don't think I ever saw her - I know the name - but I guess Dean Martin show was on "late" and past by bedtime.
She has considerable talent -
I remember Joey H, but I didn't know she was still living! Somehow I thought otherwise. I used to admire her haircut. I'd forgotten how talented she was! Great post!
I suppose it comes as no big surprise that talent and fame are not necessarily synonymous.
Always enjoy your clips.
I remember that haircut and the halter style of her pantsuit..and yes that commercial..racy for it's time:)
Let me tell you sweetie, you certainly stirred up some old memories in this cob~webbed brain of mine.
