Sound familiar? Goose and Maverick in Top Gun.
What's Your Favorite Movie Line? What movie is it from?
There are so many great lines from movies, starting with Clark Gable's "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" from Gone With the Wind to " Nobody puts Baby in a corner" in Dirty Dancing. We all have our favorites.
I asked my daughters, my LARC friends and my sister all to send me their favorite movie lines.
My sister (YFS) recently posted on facebook this one from Hope Floats.
Justin Matisse/ Harry Connick Jr. : Dancin's just a conversation between two people. Talk to me.
The Daughters shared one from Steel Magnolias
Ouiser/ Shirley McLaine: " I'm not crazy. I've just been in a bad mood for forty years."
One from The Usual Suspects:
Keyser Soze/ .: "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."
And this one from America's Sweathearts
Kiki/Julia Robert's impersonating her sister Gwen/ Catherine Zeta Jones
"Kiki Kiki kins, Who's smoking? I smell smoke. Is someone smoking within a six mile radius of where I'm standing? Go stop them.
That one was too obscure for me, but she told me "Don't judge" so I'll go with it.
I heard "Do you feel lucky? " and "Go ahead, make my day." from Dirty Harry, from Terry along with a Godfather, Michael Corleone/ Al Pacino "Just when I think I get out they pull me back in." as well as " Houston, we have a problem." from Apollo 13.
"You'll put your eye out kid" from A Christmas Story and " You act like a man who's expecting
his wife back in town. " from Butterfield 8.
And one of my favorites is another from Hope Floats :
Birdee/Sandra Bullock "Beginnings are scary, Endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most. Try to remember when you find yourself at a new beginning, just give hope a chance to float up and it will.
I'll end with a classic.

One of "The Duke's" movies that can't remember. "Someone outta punch him in the face. I'm not gonna do it . . . The Hell I won't."
Lois Einhorn: "I can make your life a living hell." Ace Ventura: "I'm not ready for a relationship right now Lois." -- Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
"You realize we're all going to go to college as virgins. They probably have special dorms for people like us." -- American Pie
"I know what you're thinking, "Did he fire six shots, or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But, being that this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question, "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya punk?" -- Dirty Harry
I would be delighted to offer any advice I can on understanding women. When I have some, I’ll let you know.
-Captain Picard to Data
Geordi: Data... I made that joke seven years ago.
Data: I know! I just got it!
-Star Trek: Generations
And of course,
"Oooh! Ahhh! That's how it always starts. Then later there's running and screaming."-- The Lost World: Jurassic Park
:)
I think you already know mine.
Moonstruck. Ronny to Loretta.
"Loretta, I love you. Not like they told you love is, and I didn't know this either, but love don't make things nice - it ruins everything. It breaks your heart. It makes things a mess. We aren't here to make things perfect. The snowflakes are perfect. The stars are perfect. Not us. Not us! We are here to ruin ourselves and to break our hearts and love the wrong people and *die*. The storybooks are *bullshit*."
Gone With the Wind - Frankly my dear, I don't give a dam. sandie
I love all of the ones mentioned in your post, as well as the comments, plus I'll add this one--
From Jerry Macguire: "You complete me."
"Face it, girls. I'm older and I have more insurance." — Evelyn Couch (Kathy Bates), to the women whose car she's just slammed into — repeatedly — after they stole her parking space and said "Face it, lady. We're younger and faster," in 1991's Fried Green Tomatoes
Gosh I like that movie..and the Ouiser one I'm not crazy, I've just been a very bad mood for the last 40 years!
How about the Dances with wolves one.."I'm in mourning?":)
Just about anything from Steel Magnolias great. I also love this line from your classic: “I remember every detail. The Germans wore gray, you wore blue.” ;-)
