To Go Barefoot or Not

I was reading  Sweet Tea 's  blog on the end of summer and it made me think of how much I hate shoes.  I am a barefoot kind of girl.

In these later years I have opted for feet jewelry too.  I know.  I can't help it.  Show me a little bling and I am all over it.  My mother passed away at 76  wearing an ankle bracelet.  I think I got that gene.

I've worn toes rings, anklets and this.      If I'm forever barefoot, why not go for a little gusto?

I've had jewels in all colors.   If I had know this existed, I would have had one of these too.

Now I've got to order one of those! Now, it takes a special occasion to justify wearing that thing.   I've worn toe rings almost daily for about 3 years.  The ankle strappy thing, on cruises, or out shopping with the long summer sunndresess.  So what about you?  Do I have any barefooters or "bling" sisters out there?

God bless your Mom - that's how I want to "move on" - wearing bling!
You will always be young because you are a "Young soul". Love it!

And, thanks for the mention!

not much of a jewelry wearer, but I do like going barefoot or flip-flops in warm summer weather :)

I'm with you on going barefoot, but I don't care much for wearing "bling" anywhere, especially not my feet! LOL I can barely stand rings on my fingers, much less rings on my toes...

I enjoyed the mashed potato dance on the previous post. I remember bits and pieces of that dance, but didn't know what it was called!

I love going barefoot. Mum says she could never keep shoes on me as a toddler. Never worn foot jewellery but if I had the piece in your second photo I'd wear it, like a shot. It's beautiful.

I was always barefoot during summer until I had a heel problem many years ago. I had to wear shoes all the time and just haven't been able to go back to being barefoot...
I do like to sport an ankle bracelet during summer!

You do now! I've got to get my hands on that first ankle bracelet with the loop to the toe. I love that! I guess I should probably shave too...eww

I must admit that those ankle bracelets are rather pretty to see. Not much of a bare foot guy. Never have been. Guess the bottoms of my feet are to sensitive.

I go barefoot in the house all the time..except when it is 10 below outdoors..then I get out some socks:)
I have never been a bling kinda gal..and I am not sure I would like anything on my toes..but you go girl! :)

I think the foot bling looks GREAT ... on someone else. I have ugly feet and though I like barefoot for comfort, I am not quick to try to bring attention to one of the ugliest parts of my body.. lol.
I love that your mom wore foot bling. Cute!!

Pretty to see. Of course, a pretty woman with gorgeous feet is "easy on the eyes" anyway. :)

Gotta agree on being barefoot. Not sure about the bling, but hate wearing shoes. Getting cold now for flip flops for us, but I hate giving them up!

I love to be barefoot (esp in sand). And those sweet little adornments are precious.

I'm not much of a barefoot girl but I do like the bling that goes between the toes. That's really cute!

Interesting post! I love to go barefoot in the house, but don't wear the bling. I think it looks great on other people.
